Workshop overview:

Music and Dance helps alll participants to express feelings that might be difficult to translate in words. Through this expression it is possible to explore their sense of self in a playful way.

Playing the game of capoeira angola will improve body consciousness and also their ability to be conscious of the other player, particularly because the game is played in a circle or 'Roda' - respect for the other player is essential in order for the game to happen. An important aspect of Capoeira Angola is the participation and interaction that takes place within the group. Nothing can be achieved individually so participants learn to co-exist and build healthy relationships.

Capoeira Angola is about developing inter-dependence and individuality. In the process of belonging to the group participants make new friends. It also includes personal development, relationship training and confidence building.
