Treinel Apavorado or Camacho (Oliver Camacho) started training capoeira in 2000 and has attended workshops with various elders in Capoeira Angola including Mestre Joao Pequeno, Mestre Ze do Lenco, Mestre Jogo de dentro, etc.., Since 2003 he has refined his talents as cultural educator and as an capoeira instructor under the guidance of Mestre Caboquinho. In 2008, he was initiated as Treinel or official instructor under the tutelage of Mestre Caboquinho in Bahia, Brazil.
Receiving his B.A. in Spanish with a focus in curriculum and secondary school instruction, Camacho shares his expertise as a cultural educator. Leading engaging lectures, workshops, and presentations he helps to convey the importance of capoeira as a tradition of self preservation and cultural survival. He has a strong foundation of capoeira's history and philosophy, and demonstrates that capoeira angola is an embodiment of a complete system of education with an Afro-Brazilian soul.
